At HamFair in Tokyo, some new equipments were introduced.

FT2000 from Yaesu. This will take over the FT1000MP MK-V but no information at all

HL-2.5Kfx form Tokyo Hi Power. 1.5KW out(2kw max on SSB) with 2 MOS-FET. Built in AC PS and 22kg

Na stranicama www.thp.co.jp Tokyo HY-Power je precej nacrtov korektno narejenih QRO z 4CX250, 3-500Z in MOSFET. HL-2.5Kfx predstavlja dolgo pricakovano novo generacijo tranzistorskih QRO z legalno mocjo.

O ft2000...

The FT-2000 was shown this weekend at the hamfest in Japan. My guess
is that this will be the replacement for the FT-1000MP Field and Mark V.

The radio appears to be based upon the new FT-9000 radios, but offers
less features as might be expected. Best I can tell from the Japanese
text on the sign, it will come in two flavors ... 100 and 200 W. Also
has an IF DSP like the 9000 radios.

Talking to a Yaesu representative at the local hamfest this weekend
resulted in the impression that the radio will be available in the USA
before Dayton, but after the first of the year. Price likely in the $3
to $3.5K range. We have to wait to see the features and specs, but if
it is close to the 9000 radios, this will be a hot radio!

BTW, I still love my FT-1000MP (1999 vintage) and the VL-1000 amp.
