The 8-th HST (High Speed Telegraphy) World Championship 2009:
The Bulgarian Federation of Radio Amateurs (BFRA) invites teams and individuals worldwide, to take part in the championship. It will take place on Sept 11-15th 2009 in Obzor, a Black Sea resort in Bulgaria.

Novi VHSC bilten.
Časi za vstop v najelitnejše klube CW operaterjev se spreminjajo: včasih si moral narediti vsaj 3 potrditvene QSO-je za en sam predlog članstva, te zveze so trajale vsaj uro in pol in pri vsaj 20% večji hitrosti od zahtevane, sicer ni bilo šans za prejeti predlog. Zdaj so tu PC-ji (dekoderji in tipkovnice), zato menim, da bi se naj ta članstva potrjevala tudi s testiranjem v živo- no, v vsaj v enem primeru.

With sad feelings we regret deeply to announce that:
DJ9SB, VHSC 60, Rena, became a silent key on 28.10.2009, at the age of 70 years. She had been
a member of our VHSC since 20.9.1977. Rena was not QRV anymore during the last years, due to
her severe illness, but she kept strongly supporting our VHSC.

Divided in 9 categories there were 35 female and 60 male participants. In category F, males no age limit, Practice test RUFZ, DJ1YFK, VHSC 371, Fabian, won the 1st place!
In category H, senior males over 40, Practice test RUFZ, HA3OV, VHSC 168, Anti, has
won the 3rd place! In the Practice test Morse Runner, Anti, HA3OV, gained the 1st place!

Organised by UFT, and named after ON5ME (Oscar, VHSC 78, sk 6.1.2007), during the
first weekend in January each year, except when the 1st January falls on Saturady or Sonday; in that case the second weekend. For 2010:
Saturday 2nd January 20.00 – 23.00 GMT and Sunday 3rd January 04.00 – 07.00 GMT.
Categories: A: members of a club affiliated to EUCW using 150 W. out or more; B: same, with 5 – 150 W.; C: same, with 5 W. or less.
Work everybody. Exchange: RST/Name/Club/Clubnr. (No-members give NM).
Points: 1 point per QSO per DXCC-entity within same continent; 2 points per QSO with other DXCC-entity, 5 points per QSO with DX and 10 points per QSO with an EUCW Clubstation.
A QSO on Saturday may be made on Sunday again.
Multiplier: number of different EUCW-clubs, counted per day.

HA3NS MEMORIAL CONTEST. PSE JOIN IT!
HA3NS, János Weisz, VHSC 174sk, was a famous CW-man. He was founder of the Hungarian CW Group HACWG. On the 1st of July 2000 he passed away.
To remember him and his excellent CW-capabilities, HACWG organizes the HA3NS Memorial Contest each year. Next one is on 12 March (Friday) 2010.
First period: 7 MHz 18.30-19.00 UTC; Second period: 3,5 MHz 19.00-19.30 UTC.
Exchange: RST + Club-nr. HACWG; not members of HACWG give RST+NM.
Contestrule: If any station makes a QSO after a CQ or QRZ he/she have to QSY at least
1 KHz from that frequency to continue the competition. Multiplier: no multipliers.
