Ena izmed najbolj "odštekanih" DXCC med radioamaterji je BS7, Scarborough Reef. JA1BK je objavil filmček o zadnji expediciji na te kamne iz leta 1997. Teško razumem, da sta zadevo Filipincem prijavila dva ljubosumna DXerja iz Japonske v "tekmi" lovljenja vaših zadnih DXCC (in mi si mislimo, da je namerno QRM-anje na TX freq. DX postaje najslabše kar nas lahko za radijem doleti ?!). Kako hitro se je Filipinska vojska odzvala se vidi na posnetku z preletom sniferskega aviona in nato hitro še z vojaško ladjo v bližini. Dva dni prej so morali zaključiti in Kitajci imajo še danes pomisleke za izdajo dovoljen na račun tega. No meni jih je vseeno takrat uspelo narediti na 20 cw. CUL Danilo, S50U

Many DXers have been asking about BS7, Scarborough Reef. Why was the last expedition short? Why hasn't there been another expedition. This is your answer from those who were there! The operation was interrupted by the Philippine Navy and shortened 2 days and this caused the Chinese government to not allow a planned 4th BS7H.

Who is so jealous and such a bad DXer that they would stop a DXpedition to a very rare spot? Two jealous JA DXers, that is who. They didn't want your score to equal theirs so they called the Philippine embassy to complain that a Chinese expedition was going to Scarborough Reef so they would disturb the BS7H operation. (And you thought some LID tuning on DX was bad!) When you learn who these two are you can SHUN them!

In the movie you see the festive start of the expedition with the full support of Radio Sport in China, and how difficult setting up a station to GIVE YOU a new one can be. Real DXers are both the ones giving you a new one and the deserving waiting for a contact. The LIDS, enemies of DX, cause first a Philippine recon aircraft then a ship from the Navy to visit and see what was happening. The Chinese ships were unarmed research ships 72 and 74 supporting RADIO SPORT/DX. Their captains called the Foreign department in Beijing to ask what to do. The answer was close the stations two days early and come home with no fight.

The Philippine chart shows Scarborough is Chinese territory and the only face to face contact was Kan JA1BK and the PI Navy guys.

You have two JA DXers to blame if you still neen BS7. Until we organize an international DXpedition with hams from China, Philippines, Japan and the USA, be patient.
