Ne vem če imajo toliko panike glede vetrnih elektrarn na ZL kot jih imamo v S5 (Volovje rebro) kakorkoli že lahek mtpl od tam dol ZL6QH lokacija bo v letu 2007 odstranjena zaradi izgradnje " klopotcev " na znanem Quartz hribu http://www.zl6qh.com/ Fantje upajo na obnovitev le te kasneje, če ne bo prevelikih motenj od vetrnih turbin.

Hi all
A brief update on the future of the Quartz Hill (ZL6QH) station. A wind farm is planned for the site and construction may start as early as next summer. It looks like most or all of the existing antenna infrastructure will have to be dismantled to make way for the project. We are hopeful about rebuilding the station but this will depend on the level of RF noise produced by the wind turbine infrastructure. So you can expect to hear ZL6QH on the bands until the end of 2006 but it is likely that we will be QRX in 2007. In the meantime we plan to activate the station as often as possible. I am not sure if further LF tests are planned. I expect that Bob ZL2CA and the LF team are considering the possibilities and will advise the LF community in due course.

Hi All,
For the past 10 years I have enjoyed operating in RTTY contests from Quartz Hill mostly as ZL2AMI and this year as ZM2A. The radio site is to close down after this weekends CQ WW RTTY DX Contest. See http://www.zl6qh.com A large wind farm called West Wind is to be built. See Meridian Energy web site for a description. The construction will take about two years and we hope to rebuild the radio site and be back on air in about three years. I have been lucky enough to set some Oceania records from the site. From October onwards please listen hard for my signal from a noisy City location using a Tri-Band beam, a Delta Loop on 40m and a Dipole on 80m. Good Luck to all in the CQ WW RTTY DX Contest.
